How We Do Brick Repair and Masonry Restoration in Ottawa, ON

REBRICKING​ SERVICE

Rebricking is involved if we have to move a doorway from one point of the wall to the other, for example. Reusing bricks is not recommended for this unless they are still in superb condition. Either way the result is unnoticeable.

REPLACING BRICKS

Holes in mortar can cause sections of walls to collapse. We can replace whole sections of bricks. This can be prevented by regular repointing maintenance. Guiding techniques leaves everything symmetrical.

FIXING BROKEN FLUE

A broken flue can make a chimney unusable or uncertified for use. We extract the broken flue by removing the surrounding bricks and replacing it with a new one, from the hearth to the top of the chimney.

BAY WINDOW REBUILD

To rebrick a damaged bay window or window sill we might need to replace the wood framing beneath depending on the extent of the damage. Rest assured any bay window can be rebricked with our skills.

BRICK EXTRACTION

When bricks crack or spall, we can carefully extract them to replace them with new bricks of the same shape and color. This allows us to fix a brick wall without rebuilding the entire wall. The end result is superb.

WINDOW WIDENING

To install a larger iron lintel above a window and below the window to support the foundation and the wall above, we remove and replace bricks. This allows us to widen any window and make it match the wall.

Brick ties are often required for various brickwork and stone veneer. We do this expertly, using the best brick ties. They're attached to the underlying wall and set into the mortar to increase stability when laying bricks.

Regular brick repointing maintenance can prevent a host of problems. But repointing joints is a full service we provide who anyone who needs it. We dig out the old mortar from the joints before replacing it.

Ceramic flue liner inside of chimneys can crack, allowing water to leak through chimneys. But we also fix all forms of masonry leaking water, whether its by repointing, replacing broken bricks, chimney replacement.

DIVIDING WALL

Brick diving walls can be repaired, replaced or built any time of year. These add character to residential and commercial properties alike. We also build ring walls with natural stone, rock, veneer, etc, with high quality results.

SILL REPLACEMENT

Often to install new windows we're called to replace the brick window sill. We remove bricks and replace them to make a custom sill set with mortar. We can do this no matter how high the window is, using ladders or booms.

FLASHING AND METAL CAPS

Rebuilding a chimney, depending in the design requires installing new flashing and metal cap installation on top of the chimney. We do this, with various options to match the rest of the house in style.
